Its HCM Day 3 !!
Our plan for today includes :
- 1/2day Cu Chi Tunnel tour with Sinh Cafe
- last minute shopping
- try and find some exotic restaurant to have dinner!
Arrived Cu Chi tunnel around 2 and half hours later... didnt get to take any shots of the entrance as it was pretty rush...thats the thing with following a tour group. you cant take your own sweet time.
Anyway, here's our first spot. A small hidden "hole"that is hidden under tons of leafs.
See the vietnam veteran demo-ing how they get into the hole.
Let me just emphasize that .. its a small hole.
I simply cant imagine myself doing that.. My big butt probably get stuck and I will be the butt of the joke.
See how small it is... and cramp too.
Another hole.. but this time.. its a booby trap
THey have female soldiers fighting during the war too...
Old rusty tank...
The self made weapons gallery...
And the shooting zone
I didnt go for the shooting becoz i am anti-violence
Rules and regulations of the place
Making durable slippers from tyres
We are going to explore the tunnels.. hehe
Me crawling in...
And it starts to get darker inside...
And I even strained my thigh... I need to lose some weight soon
And then the trip to cu chi is over....
I suppose the fun part was crawling the tunnel.. it could really be scary if you have claustrophobia
Anyway , the coach didnt go straight back to our hotel..
instead, it brought us to this Lacquer factory.
We get to see how lacquer is being made by hand..
and looking at this auntie using crushed egg shells and forming designs using bits and pieces of the egg shell
And then paint it to give you these beautiful artwork.... no wonder its expensive
beautiful huh...
Us
Sleepy Baby
Well, and then it started to pour again while we were on our way to Ben thanh market...
Ah Ong saw this bag sold at one of the shops... so we went in and bought two.
THe shop auntie was really nice.. as it was pouring, they brought out two red chair for us to sit down while we waited for the rain to stop.
We decided to get a little wet and try to get into Pho2000 for a hot drink
