Genting Highland , Malaysia ~ Day 1

We arrive in the late evening at Golden Mile complex to wait for our Five Star Coach..
We were really lucky that we managed to get a free "upgrade" to the better coach...
We got the comfy one that allows us to stretch our legs fully, TV and games console and the chair was really comfy that we had a good sleep throughout the journey.

the coach have not even start moving, he is already asleep..

Enjoying my ride

We arrived at Genting Highland around 4am in the morning and decided to walk around and find a place to rest.
After leaving our baggage at the First World counter and took our queue number.. we walked around the indoor compound.

Ong missed the match during the journey here...  and he was glad to see the score board
He still couldnt believe his eyes and wanted to get a copy of an newspaper to get the score...

Joining in the celebration

having fun with the cardboard stand....

We had breakfast at KFC and then rested at Mcdonalds for a few hours before proceeding the Highland hotel for the free shuttle bus ride to CHin Swee Temple.

After a couple of winding road down .. we arrived at the chin swee temple and start to explore the place.

The colourful temple rooftop.

Very detailed sculptures

very cool air up here but lotsa moths flying around... really huge moths

The Pagoda
Ong says i look like i went to China in this pic.

This place is huge

The Eight Immortals

Serenity

See my lips turning purple and face pale from the cold.

His favourite pic of the trip

We went up the slope to explore the place and noticed that its similar to Singapore's Haw par villa's 18 gates of hell

Faces of death

The torching tower

this fountain is suppose to sprout water but i think the buttons arent working.

After a tiring "mountain climbing" we took the shuttle bus back to the hotel and waited to check in at First World hotel.

The rooms were adequate with basic necessity. We were lucky we got a room with a good window view. Heard that the rooms opposite us have their windows facing their neighbours.

The small but basic TV with enough channels to last us through our trip here.
We slept for a while despite the sun coming through the curtains...

And then we got up and decided to take the free shuttle Van to mushroom farm restaurant

We didnt ordered seafood because its just two of us. So we had Bak Kut teh.

There were many uncles and aunties having seafood here and enjoying their tea from the teapot.

Our bak kut teh which was very good. Ong says the soup is nice.

The garden of the mushroom farm. Badly kept but still adequate.
THey have a mini mart which sells drinks, food stuff at a very cheaper rate as compared to Genting highland.
A can of COke only sold at RM0.90
